More books and resources will be available to all residents

Taupō, Mangakino and Turangi libraries are implementing Kōtui, a new shared Library Management system. Kōtui will link our district libraries to offer more selection for our community.

Library patrons will now be able to access thousands more items from any of the three libraries in the district no matter where they are located. The system will also allow customers to discover and access e-resources and digital subscription information from home, school or work, as well as accessing books, magazines and DVDs from the libraries.

“The new system will go ‘live’ at Taupō and Mangakino Libraries on Thursday 6 October and at Turangi Library on Wednesday 12 October. There will be a transition period a few days prior to the ‘go live’ dates which will affect the online library. “Book holds and access to the library catalogue may be offline for a few days. We ask patrons for patience during this short transition.”
