The Quiz Night

The Friends of the Taupo Public Library Summer Quiz Night was held at the Taupo Library on February 17th 2011. The Quiz is a free, annual event that is open to all.

Plenty of teams turned out on the night, some for a fun evening, others for some serious quizzing. Rumour had it, there might be a team of Library Staff entering. It is uncertain whether they were afraid of the competition or too shy to show their amazing skills, but the rumoured team never quite eventuated. Perhaps, they could be encouraged next year.

The Winning Team

The A Team took home DVD vouchers as the Winners of this year's Quiz. The A Team members were Dean Ward, Terry Fisher, Gilbert Corin, Patrick Grey, Judy Nicholas and Rod Ward.

One of the A Team members commented that it was a close call right until the end and there were some obscure and hard questions. Maybe bringing in a quiz expert visiting from the United Kingdom (Rod) helped them nudge ahead.
