Celebrate Maori Language week at the Library

Maori Language week 2010  “Te Mahi Kai” - The Language of Food

Come along to the Taupo library this week and celebrate Maori language week with us.

On Monday with the help of our local Kura Kaupapa Maori we will be creating a giant paper mache statue.

Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime we will be having some testers available for brave patrons who want to have a try of some traditional, and some not so traditional foods. 

We have used recipies from some of the old cookbooks we have in our closed collection and added a modern twist.

All are welcome to take a look, and have a taste.
