The Collection

The Parson's collection is made up of 398 books with publication dates ranging from 1800 to 2004.
One of the most comprehensive collections of fresh water fishing in New Zealand the collection focuses on fishing especially fishing in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

How to find

All books are on the catalogue and have the collection code, John Parsons Collection.

As well as being arranged in dewey decimal order, there are small signs for groups of books on a related subject.

A few oversized books are shelved separately the catalogue says Oversized under copy information.

The collection is in closed collection.
Books are for use in the reference area only.
