Welcome to the Taupō District Libraries Summer Reading Programme 2011/2012.
This FREE incentive based programme aims to encourage and promote books, libraries and the fun of reading to children aged 5 to 13 over the summer holidays.
The Summer Reading Programme, sponsored by Friends of the Taupō Library and Genesis Energy, is FREE for children aged 5 to 13 who are members of their local library: Taupō, Turangi and Mangakino. Places in the programme are limited.
What you need to know:
• Children must be members of the Library (it’s easy to join just ask one of our friendly Librarians)
• Children read library books over the summer starting from December 17th 2011 and finishing
January 26th 2012.
• During that time children report-in to the library staff on four occasions, discussing the book(s) they’ve read and receiving an incentive prize. It’s a good idea to bring the book(s) they’ve read.
• Report-ins take up to 15 minutes and need to be booked in advance.
• No more than 2 report-ins per week
• REGISTRATION – Places in the programme are very popular.

Registration will take place on:
Saturday 17 December 10.30am to 12.30pm at Taupo Library
Enrolments close at Turangi Library on November 28
Enrolments close at Mangakino Library on Saturday December 17
All children who complete the programme are invited to a Celebration Finale!
