Find out more about stormwater
Council is encouraging those with an interest in stormwater issues to head down to one of the roadshows being held early next week to find out more and provide feedback on the draft stormwater strategy.
A series of roadshows around the district are being held for members of the public to find out more about stormwater management, ask questions and provide feedback on the draft strategy. These are being held:
• Mon 15 June, 4.00 - 5.30 at Mangakino Council offices
• Tues 16 June, 11 - 2pm at Taupo library
• Wed 17 June, 11 - 2pm at Turangi Library
“The draft strategy, currently out for public consultation, is designed to provide strategic direction for the management of stormwater. The outcomes within the strategy will minimise the risk of flooding and aim to improve the quality of stormwater entering our lakes and rivers,” said Ted Anderson, Group Manager Infrastructure and Parks.
Submissions close on Tuesday 30 June 2009 at 5.00pm.
