What is an RSS reader?
An RSS reader is software that checks your feeds and pulls new information from the feeds into the reader.
There are many different types of RSS readers available. The most common ones are:
- Web-based RSS readers, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Bloglines, Google Reader or browser plugins such as RSS Ticker
- Desktop software, such as Newsgator, FeedDemo or RSSBandit
- Email clients, such as Microsoft Outlook (2007 and later), Apple Mail or Thunderbird.
You may find a list of RSS readers here, all available for free from download.com.
Each reader can act differently. Please follow the instructions/guidelines of your chosen RSS reader for how to set it up for use with our RSS feeds.
