Water Supply Bylaw 2009

The water supply bylaw addresses the issues associated with the terms and conditions of supply of water and the protection of the water supply system for ratepayers and residents of the Taupo District.  The new bylaw, which came  onto place 1 September 2009 replaced the existing bylaw which had been in place since 1976.  

Council is responsible for providing a reliable water supply service to protect public health. Council owns and maintains water supply networks (including pipelines. treatment plants, pump stations, pumps, reservoirs, tobies, backflow prevention devices, meters and hydrants) from the water source to all serviced property boundaries.
