Background
The plan confirms the closure of the existing motor camp in April 2006 to enable development of a new Riverside Park on the site with community event area, amphitheatre, riverside walkway and riverside restaurant/café lease. All other facilities on the north and south domain – including existing clubrooms - would be retained and enhanced. Clubs on the south domain would be given the opportunity to renew current leases until 2015. The Taupo Tennis Club will be relocated off the domain sometime after 2009 when their current lease expires.
