Asset Management Plans

Asset Management Plans are the means by which the assets and the systems used to manage them are recorded. Key elements of AMPs are:

  • Considering the costs of an asset through all phases of its life i.e. construction, maintenance, renewal and disposal.
  • Developing cost effective management strategies for the long term.
  • Providing a defined level of service and monitoring its performance.
  • Managing risks associated with asset failures.
  • Sustainable use of resources.
  • Continuous improvement in asset management practices.
