Taupo District Council undertakes to provide a reliable and responsive Building Consent service within the Taupo District.

This database is available to search through Taupo District Building Consent records to find out details on a particular consent.

If you locate any errors with the information in the database, please contact general@taupo.govt.nz so they can be rectified.

* Note: Processing Day Calculations

  • Consent Formally Received officially starts the processing clock.
  • Further Information Requested stops the processing clock.
  • Further Information Received starts the processing clock again.
  • Consent Granted officially stops the processing clock.
  • Weekends, Nationally recognised Public Holidays and the period excluding days in December and January, refered to in the Building Act 2004, are also excluded from the processing days calculation.
  • Record numbers that have an 'A' or 'P' at the end are either 'Amendment' or 'PIM Only' applications
