Called to assist Police and access car discovered over cliff on Pohukura rd of SH5 near the Waipunga falls. Set up abseil system. 2 people then abseiled down cliff to access vehicle. Found to be abandoned or stolen got Rego number for police identification. |

Abseil down gulley to access vehicle with possible victim/s on board |

3 Team members made access to vehicle crash site by abseiling down 20m gulley. Assessed vehicle details and passed to Police for action. No victims inside vehicle so did area search to assess possibility of persons being thrown from vehicle while rolling down gulley, none found. Then assisted in vehicle removal. Remainder of team did area search of gulley sides and top nothing found. Police happy with result.

Cleared path to cliff edge. using main line safety and edge line abseiled down cliff assessed injury to animal which was only light bruising. Attached dog using harness and retreived animal and then retreived rescuer. A successful outcome and owner was happy to have animal returned relatively unharmed. |

Helped with registrations and generally help out in the welfare reception center make drinks, pick up blankets etc Then tasked to assist evacuees to return to vehicles which entailed transport to site and welfare. |
